CALL 911 IN THE CASE OF LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY such as increasing trouble breathing, blue or pale lips, loss of consciousness in which the child is not regaining consciousness, or child is not responding to voice and touch.

In the case of non-life threatening emergency, take your child to Cincinnati Children’s Emergency Room or call our office at (859)441-7600 during office hours, inform the front desk that you believe this to be an emergency and she will have you talk to the nurse.   After hours, a doctor and/or nurse practitioner are always on call.   You may call our office and you will be connected to our answering service.  The answering service will page the doctor or nurse practitioner, and the doctor or nurse practitioner will call you back.  This line is ONLY to be used for EMERGENCIES or URGENT questions that CANNOT wait until the office is open.  If you think that your child needs to go to the emergency room, DO NOT wait for the doctor to call you back. Go to the emergency room. After 9 pm the calls go to a nurse triage line.  You will be charged if you call this line after 9 pm.
